What Curling Irons Are The Best Ones

With all of the styling tool options available in today’s market, it can be very confusing to choose the best curling iron for your hair. I mean, let’s face it; most curling irons claim to be the best buy, but are they really? So, what should you really look for in a curling iron and what should you avoid?

When choosing the best curling iron for your hair, you should discount everything that companies say about their product in order to market it. I mean, they have a vested interest in selling more curling irons, so who would believe what they had to say anyway? But you should pay attention to what is written on the packaging in the small letters.

The first thing that you should look for is a thermostat controlled heat setting. This feature will allow you to select the temperature of the curling iron and set it according to how much heat you need to style your hair. You see, not all hair can withstand the same amount of heat. Some hair types, like fine hair, can only withstand minimal heat while coarse hair may need more intense heat to achieve any curl. So, choosing a curling iron without this setting could result in more damage than is necessary or styles that are hard to achieve and maintain.

Another thing that you should pay attention to is what type of material the barrel is made out of. On most irons, the barrel is made of metal, but you can find irons that are velvet covered and ceramic plated. Velvet covered irons are great for hair that is easily snagged and broken. Ceramic plated irons work to infuse moisture into the hair strands while it is being curled. For the most part, a metal barreled iron will do and these are the least expensive. But if your hair is damaged or dull, you might want to spend a little extra for the ceramic-plated iron.

The first thing to wear out on a curling iron is usually the cord. This is because the cord is put under a lot of pressure at the point where it connects with the curling iron when you move the iron this way and that. To get an iron that lasts, choose an iron with a swivel cord connection. This type of cord will move as you move thus reducing the stress to the inner wires.

So, the next time you choose to buy a curling iron, pay less attention to the brand name and pomp surrounding a particular iron and look for features that you really need.

Is SEO easy to learn? 12 SEO Techniques You Need to Know.

letters on the wooden blocks

The answer is simple. Learning SEO is hard because there is a lot of information to read about search engines and how the optimization process works, and this can be overwhelming at first.

How is SEO done?

Image result

SEO involves making certain changes to your website design and content that makes your site more attractive to a search engine. You do this in hopes that the search engine will display your website as a top result on the search engine results page.

What Is SEO Coding?

Search engine optimization coding is the process of writing or re-writing the programming for your website in such a way that search engines (like Google) can read and index your content.

What is SEO vs SEM?

SEO is sometimes used as an umbrella term that includes SEM, but because SEM refers strictly to paid advertising, they are actually separate. SEM is about getting traffic via paid ads, and SEO is more about acquiring, monitoring and analyzing organic (unpaid) traffic patterns.

What are the latest SEO techniques?

1. Find Your Competitors’ Best Performing Pages

The more you know about your competitors’ SEO strategy, the better your own site can perform.

When you take the time to figure out what’s working for the websites you compete against on the SERPs, you can take your analysis to the next level and understand why this approach is working before using this insight to inform your own approach.

One effective starting point is to find your competitors’ best-performing pages so that you can develop a picture of where their organic traffic is coming from, and what it’s being driven by. Analyzing your competitors’ top pages can point you in the direction of things like

  • A content/keyword gap
  • A link gap
  • An opportunity to improve your existing content
  • Keyword cannibalization

2. Inform Your Content Strategy Using a Keyword Gap Analysis

When it comes to creating a content strategy, you will typically have two main focus areas:

  • Optimizing existing content
  • Creating new content

While optimizing existing content is often the most effective starting point (after all, it’s easier to see gains from improving content that is already indexed than completely new pieces), most websites will get to a stage where they’ve optimized all of their existing pieces.

At this point, your efforts should turn to the creation of new content. But one of the biggest mistakes that SEOs make when creating content is doing so blindly.

You need to be creating content with a purpose and need to be able to justify why every single piece that you create exists. This means taking the time to carefully plan out a strategy for the creation of new content.

One of the quickest ways to steer your content plan is to conduct a keyword gap analysis that will help you to see the keywords that your competitors rank for but that you don’t. From there, you can create content around these keywords and topics to fill the gap. And you can do it faster and more efficiently with dedicated SEO tools.

One of the biggest challenges that SEOs face is how to earn authority backlinks at scale.

Backlinks remain one of Google’s top-ranking factors, and while there are many different link-building strategies that can help you successfully earn relevant links, the fact remains that many tactics are difficult to scale effectively.

When we look at Google’s link schemes guidelines, the recommendations are clear:

The best way to get other sites to create high-quality, relevant links to yours is to create unique, relevant content that can naturally gain popularity in the Internet community. Creating good content pays off: Links are usually editorial votes given by choice, and the more useful content you have, the greater the chances someone else will find that content valuable to their readers and link to it.

And one tactic that can help you to earn editorially placed links through the creation of awesome content is digital PR.

Think of this as creating and promoting content to journalists and publishers that they’ll want to cover and link to from within their articles. Content such as:

  • Infographics
  • Research studies
  • Tools and calculators
  • Expert insights

But really, it’s all about thinking like a PR and executing like an SEO. Digital PR isn’t about pitching out promotional pieces with a press release, but rather promoting linkable assets with a solid outreach strategy. The real appeal here is that the right story can deliver significant numbers of editorially earned links from publications where your next customer could be hanging out online.

Digital PR brings benefits beyond just links, including:

  • Driving referral traffic
  • Creating social engagement
  • Increasing brand awareness
  • Putting you in front of your customers when they’re consuming content online
  • Generating sales

Here’s a great guide to help you to learn more.

4. Improve Your Organic CTR Using PPC Testing

CTR is used as a ranking factor and it’s something that you should be optimizing for. But let’s break down the elements that can impact your site’s click-through rate. Typically, these are:

  • Title tag
  • Meta description

At least, these are the ones that you have a fair amount of control over (bearing in mind that additional ad space, image blocks, and the like can all push down organic listings and result in a lower CTR). But how do you know what title tag or meta description will deliver the highest CTR?

That’s right; you test it!

While you could do this over a longer period of time by making changes and measuring the results, other variables could come into play. If you don’t want to wait too long for results, you can leverage PPC to test these title tags and meta descriptions.

Even if you’re not running a PPC campaign like a business, it’s worth loading in a budget and setting up ads for a set of pages to test different titles and descriptions. You’re not going to get like-for-like title tags and meta descriptions with ads due to the way ad headlines and descriptions are structured, but you’ll get some powerful data around key phrases and headings, as an example.

Just be sure to properly set up your test to determine what’s having the biggest impact on CTR.

  1. To determine the best title tag to use, test at least three different headlines but keep the description the same for each.
  2. To determine the best description to use, test at least three different ones but keep the title/headline the same for each.

So long as you receive sufficient clicks on your ads, you’ll be able to rewrite your title tags and meta descriptions using this performance data and improve your organic CTR.

5. Optimize for ‘People Also Ask’

The SERPs in 2022 go way beyond the ‘10 blue links’ that once occupied Google’s first page, and smart SEOs need to be tweaking their techniques and strategies to take advantage of as many SERP features as possible.

One of these features that SEOs need to utilize is ‘People Also Ask’ (PAA). If you’re not familiar with PAA, it’s the questions that show on the SERPs, like below

We’ve already discussed how difficult it can be to build quality backlinks, but one great tactic you can use is a variant of broken link building.

While this tactic is typically based on finding broken links, creating content that fits the link, and reaching out to try and get it repointed to your piece (rather than the one that’s dead), there’s a spin on it that you can use to get a head start: finding the links that point to 404 pages on your competitors’ websites.

7. Use Supporting Content to Show Topical Expertise

Google wants to rank the best result for any given search query, and that’s why it’s so important for you to think about optimizing for topics, not just single keywords.

You need to be demonstrating topical expertise to stand a chance of ranking at the top of the SERPs for your main ‘money’ keywords, and this means getting to grips with the concept of supporting content. Familiar with topic clusters?

Essentially, this is the process of creating cluster content that’s internally linked back to a pillar page. These are more in-depth pages that answer a specific question about your broad topic and link back to the main pillar page. This strategy allows you to also create content that’s optimized for long-tail keywords.

Just think of supporting content as pieces that add topical depth to your site and demonstrate to Google (and users) that you’re an expert in your field. However, it’s important to remember that this content doesn’t always need to be created based on insights from keyword research.

In fact, publishing content around new breaking trends or subtopics is just as important as it is to be writing opinion pieces that can gain traction on social or other channels.

Supporting content, on its own, might not drive thousands of hits from organic search each month, but it can help your main pages to rank higher and earn their own traffic through other channels if promoted properly. Additionally, it can help your overall blog SEO, if you’re connecting posts to one another.

Have you got keywords that are ranking on page 2 that need boosting onto the first page of the SERPs? Adding internal links that point to these pages could help you to achieve this.

Internal linking passes both PageRank (link authority) and relevancy signals. Internal linking is a massively underutilized SEO technique, and it’s often enough to see these page 2 rankings jump onto page 1.

To take advantage of internal linking, you first need to find opportunities to boost page 2 positions.

Enter your domain into the Semrush Organic Research tool and click the ‘Positions’ tab.

From the ‘Positions’ filter, choose #11-20. This then gives you a list of those search queries ranking on page 2 that could benefit from an internal linking boost.

If you’re not optimizing for image search, there’s an excellent chance that you’re missing out on opportunities to grab traffic from a source that your competitors probably aren’t considering. Let’s not also forget that visual search is a big deal.

While many would think of image SEO as tagging your images with alt tags, it goes way beyond this. If properly optimize your site’s images, you stand a real chance of being able to rank prominently on the image SERPs.

So, where do you start?

Reading our guide to image links will help you to dive deep into the SEO techniques that you should be using to optimize your site’s images, but in short, you need to be considering:

  • Alt tags
  • File names
  • Resizing images to the needed dimensions
  • Reducing file sizes
  • Creating an image sitemap
  • Hosting your images on a CDN

While going back and optimizing existing images might take some time, creating a process for adding and uploading future images to your site ensures that these boxes will be ticked from the start.

Just as backlinks can help your website rank higher on Google, the wrong type of links can also harm your rankings.

If we look at Google’s Link Schemes guide, we can see their stance on links deemed to be unnatural or toxic:

Any links intended to manipulate PageRank or a site’s ranking in Google search results may be considered part of a link scheme and a violation of Google’s Webmaster Guidelines. This includes any behaviour that manipulates links to your site or outgoing links from your site.

At best, these links will be ignored. At worst, they could harm your rankings.

If your site has toxic links in its link profile, it’s recommended that you take the time to clean them up. But let’s look at some of the reasons why your site may have toxic links in the first place:

  • Links that have been bought (or received in exchange for gifted products)
  • Link building using exact match anchor text
  • Large-scale article marketing or guest posting campaigns
  • Negative SEO
  • Low-quality directory or bookmark site tactics

Types of Teeth Whitening

Whiter teeth are a staple in the health and beauty industry. Never would you see a model or celebrity with yellow or stained teeth. Let’s face it, whiter teeth brings confidence. There are several ways for the average person to obtain a whiter and brighter smile, here are the most popular.Dentist WhiteningWe will start out at the priciest end of the spectrum with professional whitening in dental office. Most dentists use a Carbamide Peroxide in the form of a gel and provide customized dental trays molded by plaster casts of your teeth. These trays reduce the risk of whitening lines due to the fact they are made just for you. In contrast, most at-home-kits provide the same Carbamide Peroxide, just not the form fitting tray. Dentists charge up to $600 for this treatment, mainly to cover time and office costs. At Home Whitening GelsFor a much cheaper price, we are able to obtain whiter teeth in the comfort of our own home by using at-home-kits. Most of these kits contain the same strength Carbamide Peroxide formula as your dentist or possibly a more powerful formula. Another benefit of at home whitening is the price. You’re not paying a dentist or his employees, so you will find yourself paying hundreds less than you would at a dental office. Some quality kits can go as low as $39! The only real downside of an at home kit is the quality of the dental tray as it’s typically a boil and bite mouthpiece. You may find these a little less comfortable than their dentistry counterpart.Whitening StripsThe results from whitening strips are usually less than desired. Major brands and off-brands have been known to disappoint, showing a mild effect over the course of a month. The problem is that most pharmaceutical backed companies are looking for a way to make a reoccurring profit from it’s consumers. Thus keeping a weaker product on the shelves keep you coming back until desired results are acquired. In some cases this could be months or years.Whitening ToothpastesWhitening toothpastes seem to have little or no effectiveness. I myself recently tested a popular toothpaste brand, known for it’s supposed whitening power. I realized that at most, one line of past could only contain a mild active ingredient and you would have to brush your teeth for an hour for any noticeable result over a period of a month. Whitening toothpastes seem to be a marketing ploy that sells more from us being so eager for improvement. In conclusion, the real contenders here are Dental and At home Whitening Kits. They will provide you with your desired results in the shortest amount of time. Saying that, at home whitening kits allow you to save hundreds of dollars and the peace and quiet of your own home… and no eerie dentist offices.

The Fascination of the Design Tattoo

Tattoos are still gaining in popularity. The design tattoos are more radical than ever before and so are the spots they are placed on.

The number of people with a tattoo is still growing exponential and they are not the “simple and early” design tattoos like you saw in the 80’s or 90’s. A simple anchor or rose or maybe a bird tattoo which was placed on a lower or upper arm where great in those days. The modern tattoo; the design tattoo is used for people to express themselves. There’s a shift taking place; today’s design tattoo is used as a statement. It has become a symbol of attraction and people with the master pieces steal the show. Tattoos vary from different sizes and shapes; it can be done on any part of your body including toes, ears and even eyes. Today’s design tattoos are used to get attention in the mass.Nowadays people see the tattoo as a beautiful ornament that is permanently drawn on their body. Of course we should face the fact; we want tattoos because at the end of the day, they just look good. There are many people who never got a tattoo in the young age and decided to have one in their 40s and even 50s. Now they have significance and meaning associated with the art. People who want to have tattoos can broadly be categorized into two groups. The first being the group of those people who desire to have a tattoo because it holds some personal meaning to them, and those who want to have one because everyone else has one.Design tattoos mean different things in different cultures. In some cultures tattooing is a way to decorate once body and is it in many countries like India a very common art and is it often a part of a religious tradition. Tattooing is in many cultures still a natural part of men’s life and art.

Tattoo designs in the Japanese culture are inspired by paintings and drawings. Japanese symbols are rapidly gaining in popularity. But it’s very essential to know the meaning of the character you desire to have on your body for ever. Some people end up getting a tattoo which implies the total opposite of what they intended. Many young people get fascinated by the beauty of the characters but fail to understand the true meaning of it. Tattooing is an art form and today’s design tattoos mean more than just being “cool”. My inspiration for this article was an article I wrote for the Modern Men Magazine mentioned in the Author field.

Cellulite – Symptoms and causes-Treatments

person showing left eye

Cellulite is a very common, harmless skin condition that causes lumpy, dimpled flesh on the thighs, hips, buttocks and abdomen. The bumps are caused by the underlying fat cells growing too large and stretching the natural fibre compartments that hold the skin to the underlying layers of tissues.

“Cellulite” is ordinary fat, but ordinary fat that affects the appearance of the skin. Strands of fibrous collagen tissue connect the skin to the subcutaneous layers and also separate compartments that contain fat cells. When fat cells increase in size, these compartments bulge and produce a rippled appearance of the skin.

Women tend to have cellulite more often than men because they have a vertical pattern of collagen in the underlying layer that holds the fat cells, and when the fat cells become very large, they bulge out of the chambers and appear as cellulite.

In men, the pattern of collagen is tighter, in a diagonal pattern, and they have thicker skin, so there is less bulging of the individual fat cells. Another factor in cellulite is high levels of estrogen, since this hormone has a direct effect on the holding capacity of fat cells through the increase of alpha-adrenoreceptors, the chemical doorways that tell your fat cells to hold on to their contents. Poor diet, bad circulation, and poor lymphatic circulation can all contribute to the appearance of cellulite.

Cellulite Treatment, Removal Tips

There are several extra steps you can take for the treatment of cellulite. Consider your skin care regimen, and fine-tune it to meet the needs of skin that has a tendency to swell with fluids, store fat and have poor circulation.

Nutrition: Although cellulite is a skin condition, it’s closely tied to the storage of excess fat. If you are significantly overweight, you should certainly alter your diet. The dietary enzyme bromelain can improve overall circulation to your skin and adipose tissues by removing the buildup of fibrin on the walls of blood vessels. Treating cellulite requires a two-pronged approach – one being the shrinking of the fat cells themselves, the second being the regeneration of collagen and strengthening of the skin outside of the swollen fat cells.

Cleansing: When cleaning your skin, use your wash cloth or loufah to massage the area where cellulite occurs. At first, use a circular motion and then a brushing motion upwards towards the bowels. This will improve circulation and edema, and help remove toxins and metabolic wastes out of the tissues and interstitial spaces around the collagen and fat cells.

Other Treatments:

Dry Skin Brushing: Learn to dry brush your skin at least twice every day – upon rising and before going to bed. Skin brushing provides many benefits in the treatment of cellulite. First of all, it’s “exercise” for your skin and strengthens the underlying dermis and pattern of collagen in the subcutaneous layer. It stimulates the growth and repair of the tissues by increasing blood flow to the area. It also helps remove toxins and metabolic wastes out of the interstitial fluids surrounding the tissues for disposal. Dry brushing is good for your skin all over, but if you are suffering from spider or varicose veins, brushing these areas vigorously several times every day, first in a circular motion and then upwards towards the colon, can improve the appearance of cellulite.

Hormones: Cellulite is often associated with the use of HRT and birth control pills. High levels of estrogen from these medications can cause an increase in the fatty tissues’ ability to store fats and cause them to bulge, pushing out the skin and causing cellulite. If you are using birth control pills for contraception, you may want to ask your doctor for a lower-estrogen dose formula or a non-hormonal form, such as an IUD. If you are on HRT, you may want to consider switching to a lower dose, adding progesterone cream, or using a weaker formula, such as an estrone cream.

Habits: Get out of the habit of crossing your legs, knees and ankles. This reduces circulation and increases swelling. Try to keep moving regularly, neither sitting nor standing for long periods.

Exercise: Regular exercise is necessary for the improvement of cellulite. Not only does it help reduce the appearance of cellulite by burning the fatty acids that are causing the cellulite. It also improves circulation and helps to remove toxin-filled wastes away from the skin. Take up a walking program, or sneak in a set of exercises in the restroom during breaks.

Body Wraps: Body wraps, both professional and homemade can improve the appearance of cellulite. Body wraps use a combination of minerals and herbs that stimulate the fat cells to release their contents, they absorb toxins from the skin and reduce swelling. Generally, you will find stimulant herbs like kelp or algae that stimulate the fat-burning process in the cells. You will find cosmetic clays that will remove toxins and wastes from the pores, and horsetail and horse chestnut that reduce edema (swelling) and provide minerals for strengthening the skin. These formulas are applied to the skin with the use of compression wraps. For recipes for doing home wraps, go to the Botanical Beauty Lab website.

Massage: Massage, particularly the kind that improves lymph flow, is very good for reducing the appearance of cellulite. It improves the removal of metabolic wastes and toxins from the interstitial tissues around the adipose tissues, and gives the skin a smoother appearance. There are many professionals offering massage for cellulite, including lymphatic massage and endermology, but if that is out of your budget, you may want to try a home massage device. Many are available, from a simple round-prong hand tool to a powered massager that provides heat, massage and suction similar to the professional endermology machines.

SUPPLEMENTS FOR CELLULITE REDUCTION

Alfalfa: Alfalfa is a natural diuretic that helps balance the body’s interstitial fluids and reduces edema and swelling. It’s also a phytoprogesterone, which helps balance the excess estrogen that can exacerbate cellulite.

Borage Oil: Borage oil contains high amounts of gamma linoleic acid, which is an important fatty acid to the strengthening of cell walls.

Bromelain: Bromelain is a naturally occurring enzyme in natural foods that aids in the digestion of proteins. The consumption of bromelain aids in the removal of fibrin buildup in fine blood vessels. This improves and increases circulation to the skin, and aids in repair and rejuvenation.

Horsetail: Horse Chestnut herb contains high levels of the mineral silica, which is used in the repair and maintenance of skin cells.

Cider Vinegar: Cider Vinegar contains an array of important enzymes and aids in balancing body pH. It’s also a good source of potassium, which is necessary for fluid balance in the body.

Coconut Oil: Coconut Oil contains medium-chain triglycerides which are easily absorbed and used by the body for fuel. It has the capability of stimulating the thyroid gland, which increases body temperature and metabolism and is known for improving the burning of excess fat.

Ginkgo Biloba: Ginkgo Biloba is a natural blood thinner that increases the microcirculation of skin and fat cells.

Gotu Kolu:Gotu Kolu is a natural source of caffeine. Caffeine stimulates the beta-adrenoreceptors on the surface of the fat cells to release their stores of fatty acids, aiding in the burning of excess fat.

Green Tea: Green tea is a mild stimulation that contains caffeine as well as powerful antioxidants that aid in the proper replication and repair of skin cells.

MSM: Is an important mineral that is necessary for skin cell repair.

EXTERNAL TREATMENTS FOR CELLULITE

Aloe Vera: Aloe Vera contains allantoin, which soothes and heals skin. It has been shown clinically to increase microcirculation of the skin and to speed the healing of skin tissues.

Betonite Clay: Betonite Clay is a natural mineral clay that is known for its ability to absorb impurities and toxins from the skin through the pores.

Horsetail, ginkgo Biloba, kelp and green tea also work externally and can be added to lotions or creams for massage into problem areas.

Many experts have recommended using coffee grounds as a scrub for cellulite-prone areas. The grounds work as an exfoliant, as the caffeine absorbs into the skin and stimulates the beta-adrenoreceptors in the fat cells to release their contents.

Dead Sea Salts and Kelp or bladderwrack contain powerful minerals that aid in the repair of skin cells as well as the mineral iodine which can aid in the metabolism of the underlying fat cells.

There are also many commercial formulas and methods for the reduction of cellulite.

Most contain caffeine or a similar chemical called theophylline or aminophylline.

Many also contain kelp, bladderwrack and other herbs mentioned herein.

Just remember that cellulite reduction is a two-step process. The cause of cellulite is over-sized fat cells that have stretched out the collagen structure underlying the skin. The first step is to reduce body fat, and many herbs and nutrients both external and external can accelerate the process. The second step is to increase the strength of the skin and the collagen webs under the subcutaneous tissues. Skin and collagen require vitamins, minerals and fatty acids to rebuild themselves properly. Excess fluids can exacerbate the problem, so proper fluid intake and circulation are important. Drink plenty of fluids, and stay active to increase the circulation of the lymph system. With a little diligent effort, the appearance of cellulite can be reduced.

How to Attract Amazing People, Situations & Things in your life?

Actually its all about The I WANT vs I HAVE mindset.

This is the simple shift that can change our lives.

This is the simple shift that can change our lives.

The I HAVE mindset is all about ABUNDANCE.

The universe simply listens to our narratives & just amplifies it. It gives us exactly what we think & exactly who we are.

So the I WANT mindset people always get LESS. They are left wanting. We want what we dont deserve. We deserve what we dont want.

The I HAVE mindset people always get MORE. They enjoy the moment, they are grateful. When you believe you already have it you are given it easily even if you dont have it or dont deserve it. The best things in life come free.

This is also the law of attraction

The first one is the GREED mindset.

The second one is the GRATITUDE mindset.

The first one is the TAKE mindset

The second one is the GIVE mindset.

The moment I shifted to the HAVE mindset it all began to change beautifully.

The intent is also very important.

The intent is also very important.

The universe receives every bit of your intent.

It checks:

Are you faking?

Do you deserve it?

So, we have to change from within for the mindset change to happen.

There are 6 beautiful mindsets to live your life:

Omega Watches – An Intriguing Look At The History Behind

Omega Watches – An Intriguing Look At The History Behind These Luxurious Watches

Engineered to the nth degree, the Omega watch brand is a staple on many a well-to-do man’s dresser; tucked safely away inside its luxurious velvet box, ensuring that this extremely fine timepiece will be free from dust and scratches when not eloquently strapped to its owner’s wrist.

Now let’s take a brief but intriguing look at the history behind these luxurious watches long before they signed Hollywood A-list stars Nicole Kidman and George Clooney, as well as tennis superstar Maria Sharapova, to become their celebrity endorsers.

The fairy tale known as the Omega Watch Company actually started way back in the 19th Century -1848 to be exact, when the Omega founder, Louis Brandt, a Swiss watchmaker who resided in La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland, began creating his “Omega” masterpieces. Of course, back then he constructed each piece using only his bare hands by meticulously assembling each watch piece by piece.

The first watches that Mr. Brandt made were pocket watches, because back then they were the timepiece that was considered to be vogue and were highly sought after and cherished. In the mid 1800’s the thought of attaching a bracelet to their time piece never even crossed a persons mind. The fashionable and preferred thing to do was to carry their beloved “Omega” watches – which, at the time were called “Bienne” watches – in their pockets.

Unfortunately, Mr. Louis Brandt passed away in 1879 and he left his modest company to his sons, Louis Paul Brandt and Cesar Brandt who carried on their father’s tradition of impeccable pocket watch craftsmanship. They decided to rename the company “Bienne” in January 1880.

The birth of the Omega watch brand actually took place in 1894, more than a decade after the renaming of the company to Bienne. Louis and Cesar Brandt introduced, for the first time, the brand “Omega” to the Swiss public. Over time, the Omega watch has come to be one of Switzerland’s biggest and most luxurious exports. The Omega watch name actually came from one of the two Brandt brother’s watch movement calibers.

Sadly, the reign of the two Brandt brothers in the Omega watch company was short-lived because both brothers suddenly died in 1903. This resulted in four individuals taking control of the Omega watch company. One of the individuals was Paul Brandt, who not only inherited the Brandt family name but their entrepreneurial instincts as well. At just 23 years old, Paul was actually the oldest of the four who took over the Omega watch company after the death of the Brandt brothers.

After a merger with fellow Swiss luxury watch brand, Tissot in 1930, SSIH (Socit suisse pour l’industrie horlogre) in Geneva, Switzerland was created as the new parent company of the newly merged watch companies. Fortunately, the merger between Tissot and Omega was a big success, which is why in a relatively short time the SSIH group grew to over fifty other companies including Lemania, Lanco and Hamilton. And in a relatively short period of time, the SSIH group has managed to position themselves as the third largest producer of luxury watches, as well as watch movements in the world.

It was during this time when Omega produced a number of its most loved time pieces. Vintage Omega watches that are still highly sought and are famous to this day.

During the Second World War, Omega built a solid reputation for themselves by coming out with military and pilot watches for servicemen. They have always been known for their fine craftsmanship and their great attention to detail. Other popular watches from that era were the Omega Speedmaster chronograph, the Omega Seamaster waterproof sports watch and the Omega Constellation watches, which are all still incredibly popular.

During an economic downturn in 1980, Omega found itself once again merging with another Swiss watch giant – ASUAG, which manufactures and produces other popular Swiss watches such as Swatch, Longines and Rado. The new company that emerged from the Omega-ASUAG merger was called the ASUAG-SSIH company. Unfortunately, even the combined resources of the newly formed company was unable to fight off the economic slump that Omega was facing during that time which resulted in the newly formed company to be taken over by a private group. The ASUAG-SSIH company was renamed and shortened to just SMH which still exists today.

Cosmetic Surgery In A Nutshell

Cosmetic surgery, like other forms of elective surgery, involves a physical change to one’s appearance. Also known as plastic surgery, there are two kinds: cosmetic and reconstruction. The latter involves returning an individual’s sense of self after some form of injury and/or illness. The former allows the ability to overcome the physical characteristics one was born with. In a way, the former represents the forefront of how changes in technology can allow changes to the human body.

This surgery comes in all types, from the use of prosthetics as in breast augmentation and liposuction to non-invasive forms of surgery like laser hair removal or even laser correction of the eyes to eliminate the need for eye glasses.

None of this comes without a price however. Besides financial concerns, it remains the responsibility of the individual who will undergo such surgery. For this reason, they do need the support of those around them. This is the kind of support that not only affects their decision, but their ability to assimilate the surgical changes to the body.

In the case of surgery for cosmetic – as oppposed to reconstruction – purposes is the issue of aesthetics. Those around them need to understand the significance societies place upon appearance. How the appearance of someone can alter how they are perceived not only as a person, but as a human being. Surgery for aesthetic reasons, provides people with the opportunity to overcome stigmas associated with their appearance. However, what remains most important is that it’s a choice.

Many – perfectly valid – arguments have been presented to the contrary regarding surgery for cosmetic purposes. However, the fact remains that human beings have been altering their appearance for quite some time now.

Cosmetic surgery is significant, not only for what it can achieve, but because it’s a choice made by the person undergoing it. It’s a personal decision about one’s own body.

Another consideration for the individual, outside of their support system, is that they should do as much of their own personal research as possible into the different kinds of surgery available for each procedure. For example, the current surgical techniques employed and the potential legal restrictions, as is often the case with silicone prosthetics. In addition, weighing the pros and cons of each technique. Finally, the surgeon themselves. An initial consultation is always recommended, as with any form of elective surgery.

Tips for a Smooth Start to Breast Feeding

Many different sources were used while writing this article; I hope you find it informative and helpful. There are many ways to plan to be a mother and to breast feed for the first time. First find out as much as you can, this can involve reading about breastfeeding during your pregnancy, check out our web site there is a mass of information on it, so you will know what to do once your baby is in your arms, attending antenatal lessons and learning `about breast feeding there, or you can even join a support group and enjoy mingling with other mothers who can give you lots of tips and guidance. During pregnancy, it is very important you take good care of yourself. This ensures when it comes to the time to have your baby, it is as stress free and healthy a birth as it can possibly be. There are plenty of things you can do to prepare yourself for feeding your baby whilst you are still pregnant; these include ensuring your breasts are prepared for the feeding experience. It’s always a good idea to tell your midwife or obstetrician of any breast surgery you may have had as this might influence your abilities to feed your baby. Also check your nipples to see if they have become inverted, this can present difficulties when the time comes for the baby to latch on, Speak to your friends and family about their breastfeeding experiences, or go to a breastfeeding support group so you can meet and chat to other breastfeeding mothers.

Once your baby has been born, its important that the baby is put to the breast immediately. This is because the suckling instinct in a baby is very strong when they are first born. If you can get your baby to latch on inside those first few minutes of life, it is imprinted on them and subsequent breast-feeding experiences should become a lot easier.

Most maternity hospitals give you the opportunity to let your baby stay in the same room as you overnight. This is a good idea, so make certain you take advantage of it. It will give you that added time to both get to know one another and create the mother and baby bond that is so important. If your baby does sleep in the nursery it’s important that the nursery staff don’t feed your baby formula whilst you are sleeping. Insist that when he awakens he is brought to you for feeding from your breast even if it is the middle of the night. Don’t be concerned that you are not producing much milk to start off with, this is normal. The thin liquid that is created just after your baby is born is rich in nutrients and antibodies. It is enough to keep your baby happy until your milk “comes in” a few of days after your baby is born. I hope you found the above helpful and you have a good experience breastfeeding your baby.
